The round Corten steel planter gives gardens a powerful, stylish, and warm look. This is due to the orange-brown color of the material, which forms through a natural rust layer. Another name for Corten steel is weather-resistant steel: weather conditions have a positive effect on this planter.

Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material is coated with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer protects against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan.

• Corten steel planters are very strong, wear-resistant, weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and durable.
  
• Includes feet and drainage holes. This ensures that the planter floats slightly above the ground (15 mm) and provides optimal drainage.
  
• The standard material thickness of the corten steel is 2 mm. Other material thicknesses are also possible.
  
• Customization is possible.
  
• Products are supplied unrusted. The rusting process of corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
  
• Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the planter and prevents the corten steel from staining.

Important notes:

• Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture is not trapped between the packaging and the product. This can cause irregular rust stains.
  
• Ensure proper drainage.
  
• Do not use an overflow pipe; excess water should not remain in the corten steel planter. The material can then rust through due to a combination of oxygen and soil.
  
• Do not use hydro grains: they retain moisture.
  
• We do not recommend using Corten steel within a 2 km radius of a coastline.
  The warranty will be void if you drill or grind in a manner not specified.
  
• During the rusting process, rust water may be released from the product.

Planting advice:

• Provide a layer of Ø35 mm pebbles (approx. 10 cm) at the bottom.
  
• Lay a permeable root barrier cloth over the pebbles.
  
• Cover the root barrier cloth with soil suitable for your type of pebble. Planting.
  
• Do not use an overflow pipe; no water should remain in the corten steel planter.
