Where does an Echeveria originate?

Echeveria belongs to the Crassulaceae family, just like Crassula, Pachyphytum, and Pachyveria. Echeverias grow in northeastern Mexico, an area primarily characterized by deserts and arid, hilly landscapes. Here, the Echeveria grows against rocky ground.
