Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ is a strong, ground-covering perennial with large, rough green foliage and striking, soft blue flowers that appear early in spring. This cultivar is particularly suitable for semi-shady to shady borders, under shrubs, and in natural gardens, where it quickly forms dense ground cover and suppresses weeds. Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ grows best in moist, humus-rich, and well-drained soil. The plant is low-maintenance, winter-hardy, and very valuable for early bees and other insects.
