The Calathea Ornata is a tropical houseplant and is also called the living plant. This nickname comes from a unique characteristic of the Calathea. The leaves of the Calathea close as soon as it gets dark and open again as soon as it gets light. The Calathea originates from the jungles of South America, where it thrives in high humidity. You can regularly spray the plant with a plant sprayer. It's best to water the Calathea regularly, but only in small amounts. Make sure the potting soil is always slightly moist. In winter, you can water the Calathea less. As soon as the heating is turned on, the air becomes drier. The Calathea is not used to dry air. To prevent the plant from dying, it's important to continue spraying it regularly. The best location for this plant is in partial shade.
