'Clematis Jackmanii' is a clematis with medium-sized, deep purple-blue flowers. These appear during the summer months, from July to September. The clematis is a hardy plant that can easily tolerate the Dutch winter. Its beautiful shape and flowering habit make it highly ornamental. Prune the clematis back to 30 cm above the ground at the end of winter to encourage the most abundant flowering and keep the plant in good shape. If you want to encourage the clematis to grow along a trellis or fence, it's advisable to give it a little help. You can do this by neatly tying the new shoots along the trellis or training them through the fence.
