Galium odoratum, also known as sweet woodruff, is a charming, low-growing perennial with fresh green foliage and small, star-shaped white flowers. This ground cover is particularly suitable for shady borders, under trees and shrubs, and in woodland gardens, where it quickly forms a dense carpet. Galium odoratum prefers humus-rich, slightly moist soil and a semi-shaded to shady location. The plant is low-maintenance and releases a pleasant fragrance during flowering and when bruised.
