Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’ is a vigorous and long-flowering perennial with fresh green foliage and striking, deep red to wine-red flower spikes that bloom from summer well into autumn. This cultivar is ideal for borders, natural plantings, and prairie gardens, where it adds height, movement, and an intense color accent. Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’ grows well in a sunny to partially shaded location and prefers nutritious, slightly moist soil. The plant is low-maintenance, very hardy, and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
