About the Areca and Yucca

This set of two houseplants consists of an Areca Palm and a Yucca.

The Areca Palm, also known as the golden palm or Dypsis Lutescens, and the Yucca Elephantipes, also known as palm lily, are exotic houseplants. The Areca palm originates from Southeast Asia and the Yucca from North and South America. They are easy plants to maintain and will give your interior that extra touch with their fantastic appearance.

Caring for the Areca and Yucca

The Yucca loves sunshine. In a sunny location at a temperature between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius, the palm lily will truly thrive. The Yucca is an easy plant to care for. A glass of water once every two weeks is sufficient. The Areca palm also enjoys light, but it's best to avoid direct sunlight. When the potting soil is dry, it's time to water the houseplant again. Yucca and Areca palms also appreciate being misted. This keeps the leaves looking beautiful and prevents insect infestation. Fact: Neither of these green plants is poisonous to humans; however, only the Areca palm is cat-friendly.
