Appearance of the shrub:
- The Camellia japonica Bonomiana is an elegant, evergreen shrub with dark green, glossy, oval leaves with slightly serrated edges.
- The flowers are showy and beautiful, with large double petals. They are pink with delicate white stripes and usually bloom in late winter to early spring.
- The Camellia japonica Bonomiana thrives in partial to full shade and in a sheltered spot, preferably outdoors in the garden or on the patio. Avoid direct afternoon sun.
- The shrub needs regular watering. Keep the soil moist, but ensure the shrub does not sit in standing water. During warm periods, additional watering may be necessary.
