Corten Steel Planter Features
This corten steel planter gives gardens a powerful and warm look. This is due to the orange-brown color of the material, which forms due to a natural rust layer. Another name for Corten steel is weather-resistant steel: weather conditions have a positive effect on this planter.
Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material is coated with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer protects against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan.

- Products are supplied unrusted. The rusting process of corten steel takes approximately 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
- Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating anti-rust agent that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the planter and prevents the corten steel from staining.
Important points:
- Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt so that any moisture is not trapped between the packaging and the product. This can cause irregular rust spots.
- Ensure good drainage.
- Do not use hydro grains: they retain moisture.
- We recommend avoiding Corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
- During the rusting process, rust water may come off the product.
PLANTATION ADVICE:
- Fill the container with a layer of Ø35 mm pebbles (approx. 10 cm).
- Place a permeable root barrier fabric over the pebbles.
- Cover the root barrier fabric with soil suitable for your type of planting.
