Corten steel is a metal alloy composed of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium have been added. When exposed to the outdoors, the material becomes coated with a protective layer of rust. This natural rust layer protects against further corrosion. This gives the planter a long lifespan.

Important points:

• Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent any moisture from being trapped between the packaging and the product. This can cause irregular rust spots.
  
• Ensure good drainage.
  
• Do not use hydro grains: they retain moisture.
  
• We recommend against using Corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
  
• During the rusting process, rust water may be released from the product.

Planting advice:

• Fill the container with a layer of Ø35 mm pebbles (approx. 10 cm).
  
• Place a permeable root barrier fabric over the pebbles.
  
• Cover the root barrier fabric with soil suitable for your type of planting.
