Plant Appearance
- The Ficus Elastica, also known as the rubber plant, has large, glossy, dark green, oval-shaped leaves. This plant has an upright growth habit and can reach a height of approximately 2 meters. The leaves are tough and leathery, which contributes to the plant's robust appearance.
- This Ficus thrives best in bright, indirect light. It can also tolerate some direct sunlight, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can damage the leaves. The Ficus Elastica is ideal for indoor spaces, but can also be placed outdoors in a warm and sheltered environment.
- The Ficus Elastica has average water requirements. Allow the top layer of the potting soil to dry out before watering again. It's important to provide good drainage to prevent root rot, especially in winter when the plant needs less water.
