The 'Miscanthus Sinensis 'Ferner Osten', also known as 'splendid grass' in Dutch, is a beautiful ornamental grass that combines well with other grasses and plants. The 'splendid grass' blooms earlier than most 'Miscanthus' varieties. During this period, brownish-red plumes with white tips develop, which later in the season turn more pink. The plant's stems are red, and the leaves also turn red in autumn. This 'Miscanthus' is a strong and vigorous grower, both in the ground and in a large decorative pot.
