The Opuntia quitensis is an Opuntia with multiple small discs covered in coarse spines and orange-red flowers. It has been carefully cultivated in a 12 cm diameter pot. It grows to a height of 25-30 cm. During the growth period from March to September, the Opuntia quitensis needs watering once every two weeks. During the dormant period from October to February, watering once a month is sufficient. Ensure the soil is thoroughly dried out between waterings.
